Investigating Tensile Behavior of Sustainable Basalt–Carbon, Basalt–Steel, and Basalt–Steel-Wire Hybrid Composite Bars

One of the main disadvantages steel bars is rebar corrosion, especially when they are exposed to aggressive environmental conditions such as marine environments. suggested ways solve this problem use composite bars. However, these ambiguous due some weaknesses, low modulus elasticity and linear behavior in tensile tests. In research, effect hybridization process on mechanical behavior, including strength, elastic modulus, energy absorbed bars, was evaluated. addition, using basalt fibers because their appropriate durability, high-temperature resistance, compared glass fibers, all types hybrid investigated. A total 12 were made four different groups. Basalt carbon T300 with a diameter 6 mm, wires 1.5 mm used fabricate vinyl ester 901 resin.
